Yes, the Wigan Wargamers have a contingent who boardgame at their meets, and some of them come along to Bolton as well. Will, Andy and Craig at Wigan are all boardgamers and they brought a few more to our all-dayer.
You ought to drop in on Bolton one time, we don't bite. Much.

Hi, I am the Organiser of a Gaming Group based in Accrington (nr Blackburn/Manch
ester).We currently run a couple of LARP Games (similar to Freeform Acting but with more personal character development) and are now expanding to include more regular Boardgames, CCGs, Tabletop RPGs and Wargames.
The Group runs every other Sunday (12pm to 6pm) and we have a regular Venue (with licensed bar).
