Jeanne: What I'd really love doesn't quite exist anymore-- I'd love to experience the culture and cuisine of Ancient Rome. Failing that, I'd be happy spending serious time in the Mediterranean, clambering over Roman ruins. Andrew: The Middle East.
Jeanne: Hard to pick, but a recent trip to Paris had me steeped in French history and chocolate soup! Andrew: b-day in Mexico: climbing pyramids at Coba, eating authentically prepared food in a Mayan village, and swimming in an underground lake.
Mizu, on North Avenue. It has an extraordinary chef, and every few months hosts a kaiseki dinner: a traditional, multi-course, seasonal Japanese feast, with dishes like a pickled seaweed and raw quail egg shooter and shellfish sashimi.
Actually, this is two people joining with one profile: myself, Jeanne, and my spouse, Andrew. We're both serious-ish foodies, avid travelers, history buffs, and that's about all that's relevant that I can think of at the moment.
