A few of our members requested a dance night repeat so we are trying Loca Luna once again!
Mix Samba, Rumba Flamenca, Samba-reggae, Bossa Nova and Funk. Season it with a little bit of the Caribbean, Spain and Brazil. What’s cooking? Rua 6. This melting pot formed by four musicians with different nationalities and mixed musical backgrounds has been turning up the heat all over Atlanta, US for the past ten years. They have recorded three albums and are working on the fourth.
With its vibrant presence, its unmatched chemistry to the public and its distinct music, Rua 6 became a must in Atlanta’s musical scenario and a mandatory stop in the city’s busy nights. Andre Rievers, vocalist and acoustic guitar; Vlamir Abbud, bass guitar; and, Rafael Pereira, drums, all come from São Paulo, Brazil and Juan Bonini, percussion, is from Panama. As the band likes to say…” Rua 6 is world music with a strong Brazilian accent.”
At 10:30pm, DJ Melo jumps on the 1′s and 2′s to close out the night. His name is Rony and he goes by Melo for being a very mellow and chill guy, but very upbeat when he gets behind the decks. Melo has a unique taste for Trance and House music that can get even the most laid-back of crowds to dance. Once they are hyped, Melo turns up the energy and surprises them with new and interesting musical selections to take them to another level.
