The Little Italy & Downtown Film and Art Cabal is a meetup for anyone that lives in the greater downtown area, loves great film, art and other eclectic happenings and would like to get together with other film and art lovers for a movie or event.

This is a completely casual, open meetup group.  Anyone can suggest an event at any time. It could be an indie film playing downtown...an art or theater event in Little Italy...a comic book signing...a wine or beer tasting...a lecture on army ants...performance art involving chickens and men dressed as wheelbarrows...high brow, low brow, no brow...all film and "art-related" events in the greater downtown area are welcome! Post it a week in advance or 15 minutes before you go...doesn't matter. The idea is to build a community of urban dwellers that can join each other in random cultural adventures.

So if you have an idea...don't question it...just throw the suggestion up and see if anyone else wants to join. Maybe you're not the only one who'd love to listen to an 8-hour lecture on the lack of aerodynamics in a platypus' bill...or view an art event focused solely on paintings made out of egg salad!
