SGC: Ostara Mini-Class and Ritual

  • Mar 22, 2014 · 3:30 PM
  • Edelweiss Ranch

Named for Eostre the Teutonic Goddess of New Life, Ostara is the first day of spring. Light and darkness are in balance, but the light is growing stronger as days continue to grow longer. The young Sun God continues to mature and grow; new growth appears on the trees and flower buds are swelling. Life energies are building quickly now and the very air seems to vibrate with promise.

Sacred Grove Coven hosts this free mini-class followed by ritual. Come and join us for this mini-class and learn more about the Sabbat we will be celebrating this day. It's always ideal to understand the history and concepts behind the reason for the ritual. Ritual takes place at 4:00 immediately following this optional mini-class- if you'd like to skip the class and show up only for ritual please feel free. Guests welcome and we are family friendly- there is a play corner in the meeting room including toys, puzzles, games, and coloring supplies. We will be meeting in my UNHEATED barn so please dress (bundle up) appropriately!

• Potluck to follow, please bring a dish if you participate in potluck and label with allergen warnings and/or ingredients list.

• Love Offerings welcome at this ritual. For more information about Love Offerings, please visit:

• For advice on proper pagan etiquette, please visit:

• Directions to Edelweiss Ranch can be found here: Once you arrive, drive through the big gray gate (feel free to open it but please close it behind you), then follow the drive all the way back past both houses to the big metal barn. Park anywhere. We'll be through the giant double doors in the Meeting Room.

• Please note that we are a working farm. This means animals- both furred and feathered- smells, and even occasionally poo will be found around the property. The meeting room is in a barn which sometimes shares space with horses, a peacock, pigs and goats.
