Eat Great Food and Watch A Movie: The Pleasure Trap

Raw Vegan Potluck starts at 3:00 PM. Movie (60 minutes) starts at 4:00 p.m., followed by discussion.

Raw Vegan Potluck: Please prepare a dish to serve 8 people. Ingredients should be from PLANT BASED sources, UNCOOKED, UNPROCESSED, and, insofar as possible, ORGANIC.

Please bring a list of the INGREDIENTS you have used. (Many members need to know because of specific food sensitivities).

Because we will be in a conference room, remember to bring all the SERVING EQUIPMENT your dish requires!

A dish is preferred, but if you cannot do so, please donate $10 which will help with the ongoing expenses of the meetup.

The MOVIE will be THE PLEASURE TRAP by DOCTOR DOUG LISLE. Dr. Lisle is a behavioral psychologist whose teaching venues include the Cornell University Plant Based Nutrition course, Living Light (the leading raw culinary school), Dr. McDougall'sHealth and Medical Center and True North Health Center. In a fact-filled but humorous presentation explaining the neural pathways involved, THE PLEASURE TRAP shows why - even when we KNOW what we need to eat -- we may be drawn to foods that may not support good health. Dr. Lisle explains this clearly, and also shares some strategies for breaking out of The Pleasuure Trap!

Sorry, I won't be able to make it today but my neighbors will be happy to share my broccoslaw. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Take care.
