Why Raw Food?

Because of all of the research and my own experiences during cleanses, I have found that it's the key to longevity and wellness and it just makes sense since all creatures eat raw, it's only the ones that do not that suffer with all kinds of ailments.

Have you ever fasted? If so, what kind of fast? How often?

Yes I have done traditional Ayurvedic mung bean soup cleanses for 30 days. A 10 day water fast and a 3 month raw food cleanse. It's time to do one again!

What do you believe are the miracles of raw food? What is your favorite raw food dish?

Still learning about more gourmet styles of raw food but I would say my favorite thing to eat is pineapple and kale chips I make in my dehydrator. Oh I love the zucchini spaghetti.

How do you think peace in the world is affected by health and well being?

very much affected by health. The more toxic we are, the more those toxins have an impact on how we think and what we feel. The more clean our body, the more clarity and peace of mind we feel automatically. Fasts were always done for that reason since ancient times, not only to prevent disease but to purify the mind and often brought very heightened clarity and sensitivity/intuition.

Introduction

I've studied and am certified as an Ayurvedic practitioner. I don't work in the holistic/nutrition field though it is such a passion. I'm transitioning to raw and vegan so I wanted to join a community where I felt connected to others in that way.
