The Hard Bop All-Stars return to the Piedmont Piano Store in uptown Oakland for an in-depth presentation of "bebop, hard bop and post-bop: the music of Bird, Dizzy, Monk, Miles, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Clark, Horace Silver, Grant Green, Joe Henderson and Trane." The show features the front line of Joel Behrman (trumpet) & Noel Jewkes (multi-reeds), along with Larry Vuckovich (piano), Jeff Chamber (bass), and Jimmy Gallagher (drums).
TICKETS: Tickets are $20 each; seating is general admission. To charge a ticket in advance, call the store at (510)[masked] -- or you can buy at the door if there are still tickets available then; ticket sales at the door are CASH ONLY. (Note, however, that events at this venue sometimes sell out before a show date.)
