Looking to hone this skill more, especially because I'm missing the collaborative atmosphere I loved in college.
I'm always surprised by how little faith people (Americans, especially) have in the importance of design in their lives. At the same time, I'm a realist about just how far the surroundings can impact one's life. I've studied urban design around the world in places like Rome and Chandigarh, India, and these experiences have left me with a reverence for the inherent logic and intelligence of humans to design their world. In short, as of now, I think my goal is to make people realize that they should fight for their right to define their physical world, because clearly overly-regulated top-down urban planning has created a lot of social strife. I'm interested in this group because I want to meet other people who want to use their diverse backgrounds and experiences to make a difference!
Hi! I'm Caroline Ellis. I'm passionate about urban design, architecture, and how these can be used to affect the lives of city dwellers (and everyone else!) for the better.
