Ticket price will be $7.
This is also a VIP ticket that will give us special line privileges, avoiding long general admission ticket lines.
$5 from every ticket will be donated directly to a charity of choice.
We have chosen Susan G. Komen Foundation, as someone close to me was recently diagnosed with late stage breast cancer.
FRIENDS, Chicken Dance and Beer---what more can you ask for??!! We had so much fun the last (4) years, the Lively Friends are going again! Oktoberfest has been held annually at the Alpine Village for 45 years. The festival is celebrated in the 32,000 sq. foot beer tent which accommodates up to 3,000 people and includes a Bavarian Brass-Oom Pa Pa band from Germany, German dancers, contests, and authentic German food.
Check out the Alpine Village website for even more info: www.alpinevillagecenter.com/oktoberfest
The wearing of themed clothing is encouraged, start looking for yours now.
Please Note: This year, Alpine Village will no longer allow you to bring in and use a GLASS beer mug. However, they will allow us to bring CERAMIC beer mugs or steins. Several of us have been bringing glass mugs the past few years, so please be aware of this new rule.
Please arrive prior to 6pm on event date and meet me in line to purchase your ticket from me. I have plenty of tickets available so no need to "reserve" ahead of time.
If you do not think you can be there early enough, then I suggest you arrange for someone else on RSVP list to get your ticket from me and pass it on to you that night.
I will make exceptions for people that email me directly (do NOT post here!) and meet you outside as late as 7pm. After that, I go in to enjoy the event myself.
I am not able to reserve space--it is a first come, first claim of space. VIP line and general admission line people start going in at same time. Difference is VIP line is much shorter :)
I need several volunteers to commit to arrive prior to 6pm to help secure reserved space when doors open. Not enough volunteers =not enough reserved space for group.
Finally, let's hear from "The Voice of Oktoberfest" and our host, the German Elvis himself....HEINO:
See you there! Prost!
