Tongue & Groove Open Mic and Competition

Tongue & Groove is an open mic and competition held every 1st and 3rd Tuesday at Tir Na Nog in downtown Raleigh. Sponsored by Amplified Art and Jacar Press, this event is all about originals and the artists who write, read, and play them---and the people (like us) who love them for doing it.

Hosted by Living Poetry member Benjamin Molini---with help from his Lady Tuesday (aka Anna Weaver)---Tongue & Groove awards prizes for best original poem and best original song. Judges selected from the audience score the competition and select the Audience Favorite. All prizes = $10 and bragging rights.

List opens at 7:30 pm; show starts at 8 pm. Covers welcomed. Originals rewarded.

Hey, I hope there is enough room for myself and another poet. My name is "Endlesswill" William Davis and my friends name is "Shy" Ladarrious. I am running late and will there after 8:00.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
