Someone recently said, poetry is not meant to be read quietly, but to be listened to. So just like in the Dead Poets Society movie, I would like to meet with people who also love poetry, love to read it aloud, love to perform it, love to talk about it and love to write it. - Let's come together sharing poems and why they touch us the way they do.

Here is what we do...
Poetry Brunch (we are reading classic, modern and our own poetry for the pure joy of it)
every 1st Saturday morning of the month as a brunch
Sharing Creativity (poetry workshop: critiquing our own work, writing exercises and cool homework)
* every 3rd Thursday evening of the month (in Durham)
* Virtual Workshop (via email)
every 2nd Sunday at a member's home; please request membership to the book club
Every Monday morning, prompts are being sent out in hopes they trigger spontaneous poetic eruptions.
Poetry Between the Lines
Every 3rd Saturday of the month we come together for a deep dive into five poems of one chosen classic or contemporary poet.
Leisurely get-together to talk about the poet's life under today's myriad distractions. (adhoc event)
We schedule visits to museums, poetic places etc. randomly and write about what we’ve seen and experience afterwards (adhoc event)
Join us for anything and everything that piques your interest and resonates with your poetic soul!
