Hello everyone, Andy here. It's been far too long since I've acted as chef for Sunday Supper, so I've committed myself serving you all this next Sunday! This time, I'm going to be whipping up some of my all time favorites. This menu will be rich, hearty and satisfying!

Attendance is limited, so please sign up NOW if you want to guarantee your spot!

So, without further ado, here is the menu...

Raw Vegan Barbecue "Beef" Sandwiches!

It all starts out with some of the best raw vegan onion bread you've ever tasted! I've been working on this recipe for many years now, and I think it gets better every time I make it. So rich! So chewy! So soft! So melt in your mouth delicious, that you'll have trouble believing your own tastebuds! Couple this with my mushroom-based, barbecue "beef"! Big, chewy, meaty chunks just oozing with tangy, mouth watering barbecue sauce. All raw, all vegan and all delicious!

Creamy Kale Salad

Another one of my all-time favorites. Fresh green kale, lovingly hand massaged and marinated in my own special garlic tahini dressing. I once made this for dinner every single night in a row for two weeks running, and I still couldn't get enough of it! Even if you don't fancy yourself as a fan of kale, I'm absolutely certain that this recipe will make a kale lover out of you!

Cheezy Mushroom Soup

Remember the old days when you used to eat things like cheddar cheese soup? Did you ever believe that you'd ever get to enjoy a raw vegan version? I've developed dozens of soup recipes, but I think this one is my best. Delicious marinated mushrooms swim in an yellow-orange sea of creamy goodness. If your eyes don't roll back in your head after your first spoonful, I will personally stand on your table and sing you a song.

Strawberry Shortcake

Organic strawberries are in the stores, so for me, this usually means lots of strawberry shortcake, and this is one menu item that I'd love to share with each of you! A base of nuts, dates, salt and vanilla cradles a sweet strawberry topping. Together, they taste incredible!

As always, my meals are 100% RAW, 100% VEGAN, 100% GLUTEN FREE AND 100% SOY FREE! This means no meat, no egg, no dairy, no honey, no wheat, no nama shoyu, no Braggs Aminos, no nutritional yeast, no maple syrup, no soy lecithin, or anything else that has ever been unnaturally processed or heated in excess of 115 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, all ingredients are organic whenever possible!

GRACE PRACTICE: Our after dinner grace practice is Group Singing and Making Music! Bring your favorite singalong songs and instruments (we have a piano and drums handy) to experience the joy of shared rhythm and harmony.

Sunday Supper is a weekly offering of Christ the Healer UCC, a unique DIY church dedicated to discovering and embodying together heaven on earth, especially through the Compass of Grace. We gather each week at 5:30 around communal tables for conversation and a great raw vegan meal graciously prepared by volunteers, then segue into a sharing circle, closing prayer for the world and a raw communion. Around 7 pm we clean up and hang out together informally. All food and spiritual traditions and none welcome to the table. Your $10-$20 sliding scale donation helps pay for the food and rent and allows us to turn no one away ever for lack of funds.

Is the meetup at 5:30 or 7:30? I'm confused as to which is the real starting time.

    March 21, 2014

Hi Ivy. We start at 5:30PM. By the way, were are you seeing 7:30? If I've written that somewhere, then I need to fix that.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! It seems the confirmation email I got automatically converted the time into midwestern time for some reason, no fault of yours.
