Tell your raw-curious and just-starting-raw friends and colleagues about this wonderful, inexpensive opportunity to learn the basics of raw food preparation, taught by Gabrielle Chavez, author of The Raw Food Gourmet. Throughout January, she is inviting folks to come learn how to prepare food, which will be served for the ongoing Raw Sunday Supper. Class fee is a minimum donation of $10.
Gabrielle's class announcement:
"After a fun and successful 2 month trial run, the hosts of Sunday Supper are committing to a raw food prep class before dinner each Sunday at 4:30pm in our NEW LOCATION: Kairos-Milwaukie UCC, 4790 Logus Rd, 97222. We'll gather in the church kitchen for an hour to prepare several different dishes that we'll eat along with other courses at 5:30pm. Those who wish are invited to linger another hour after the meal for a spiritual discussion and prayer circle.
For this week's class, Kyler Grandowski, raw chef at the Yummy Tummy, will demo Garlic and Ginger Spinach Bisque and a Simple Slaw. Then we'll assemble raw pizzas from a prepared crust and enjoy it all along with a special dessert. There is a minimum $10 donation for the class and dinner."
