Introduction
I've been reading & collecting tarot cards for about two years now. The meetup has been a fun way to learn new things or just chat with other tarot enthusiasts.
How did you find us at Living Tarot Meetup?
Elaine Copeland referred me to the meetup.
What motivates you about Tarot currently?
At first it was more about collecting the decks, and the reading was secondary ... but I've found that it's a useful tool for quickly accessing my subconscious, or clearing my head if my mind is muddled about something. And doing a reading for someone else is a great way to connect with that person and/or start a dialogue about whatever's going on in their life.
Do you have certain decks you prefer?
Currents favs are Victorian Romantic, Osho Zen, and Vanessa. I use those the most for every day stuff. Just purchased Bohemian Gothic and Tarot de Paris, and love both of those. I like to read ALL the artists notes and background on the cards, so it's a while before I really learn a deck.
When and why are you most likely to pull out your cards?
Usually either a 3-card read first thing in the morning, or a 9-12 card read late in evening.
How did you get into Tarot?
Attended Elaine's talk on Intuition in March 2006. Ordered two decks on Amazon that very day, and have been hooked ever since.
