Proud Lake - hiking

  • March 2, 2013 · 11:00 AM

Hiking at Proud Lake Nature trails.  This is probably the best hiking in our western metro area - yes even better than Kensington!  Terrain has lots of loop trails so if you get tired, you can head back.  Very well signposted!!  Flat with some hills and there is a pretty lake and a river.

Start time: 11am
Meeting location: To Headquarters - From I-96 exit 159 follow Wixom Rd. N. 7 miles.  We will meet here and then go to the trail head.

Wow, it looks like you had a good hike--I landed up at HP. It was super icy, so my friend and I walked on the concrete to be "safe." After my biking incident, did not want to chance it.

I think that it was a beautiful park. Can't wait to go back when the trails are not full of ice and snow. People were great. Barb did a fantastic job. Thanks to Bob for the travel tips.

Nice day with a touch of flurries in the air. Remaining to either side of the trails was more level than the rough ice in the middle. Friendly people to walk with.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
