Cross Country skiing UP NORTH for the day (Roscommon Area)

  • No location was chosen

  • Let's go cross country skiing up north.  Located in Higgins Lake, Michigan. Cross Country Ski Headquarters is a Pure Michigan premier destination for cross country skiing in Michigan and the Midwest. It is the best source for cross country skis, equipment, clothing, cross country ski packages, and expertise.

They have wide network of groomed trails for all levels.  Shouldn't have to worry about trees!

Carpool Time: 8:30am (K-mart parking lot, 7 Mile Rd and Farmington Rd in Livonia)

I can take 2 people and myself with skis but a bit cramped in backseat for one of you.  Split cost of gas.  Would need to get some other people driving if a lot want to go.

Plan: Drive up (about 2.5 hours) and ski starting at 11-11:30am until about 4pm.  Drive back.  They have food service available onsite.

    My cell phone:  [masked]

    Cross Country Ski Headquarters,

    9435 N. Cut Rd.Roscommon, MI 48653

From I-75 (Southeast Michigan – Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, Midland, Bay City): Take exit 239 and turn left if coming from the South, or right if coming from the north. Take first right onto Robinson Lake Road. Drive 3 miles to blinking light and turn right onto North Cut Road (County Road 100). We are half a mile down on the left side of the road.

Decided to move this out a week so maybe some people will want to go.

Let's go and check it out. Let's hope there is some "Après Ski" in between the 405 hours of skiing. :)

Well I'll probably just go myself if no one wants to join. It's nice to ski up there as there's more likely to be snow.

With the amount of snow that we are having in southeast Michigan, I'd rather wait with this one. I heard about Holly, MI being a nice ski recreational area as well. That's about 40 minutes from here.

This is true we have a lot of good skiing down here. I'd still like to go up north too and try out a few other places. I can look at Mt.Holly. I know they offer downhill skiing.
