First, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to all the new folks who recently joined the group!
The Solstice has come and gone, which means we're in full Summer mode. What better time to explore the quintessential wine of Summer, Rosé?
We'll gather at the Cellar Wine Bar in the Lower Highland neighborhood for a tasting flight of 3 refreshing Rosés paired with a trio of appropriate appetizers. For those of you who are a bit skeptical about pink wine, this will be a great chance to explore the world of traditional dry Rosé. You'll have to leave your Franzia White Zinfandel experiences behind you!
Here's how it works: We'll meet at the Cellar Wine Bar at 6:30 PM and get to know one another. The Cellar's new wine steward, Natasha, will walk us through a flight of 3 different Rosés and give us a little background information on each one. The Cellar's new chef, Joe, will also prepare a small plate of appetizers that accompany each of the wines.
The cost is $20.00 (this does NOT include tax and gratuity) and is payable directly to the Cellar Wine Bar on the night of the event. We are all responsible for our own tabs. If you're not into Rosé and want to join us anyway, you are welcome to attend and order whatever you like from the Cellar's extensive wine list. Our group is very informal and there are no rules!
The Cellar has recently hired a new and talented chef and has expanded their food menu, therefore if anyone is interested in staying on and ordering dinner, you won't be disappointed! For a look at the Cellar's menu, click here.
The Cellar Wine Bar has a very intimate dining room, therefore we can only accommodate 18 comfortably. We have a wait list, so please put your name down if the event sells out. If you RSVP yes but can't make it, please change your RSVP so those on the list can attend.
See you there!
