Pizzapalooza! Games, food and community!

How about a good old fashioned all day hangout? I have a local pizza bar with a party room that accommodates up to 40 and is willing to commit to an all day event sponsored by the NCGers! Who's interested? Scheduled for April 26th from 1pm til 10pm; the NCGers are looking to bring together a community of friends & support the local gaming habits of our chapter!

Atlas Games is our FIRST official Sponsor!  They have committed to providing some game support for our Games Day activities!

Rio Grande Games has offered to send us demo games supporting our event!  Thanks to Jay and Rio Grande for their support and additions to our Games Library!

Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG) has also stepped up to provide materials for our Pizzapalooza!  Thanks to our sponsors for adding to the great times we are going to have at our event!

Pure Steam has joined our sponsors!  We will be getting a couple copies of their products for the raffle!  Thanks for the support!

Glad I took a chance and stopped in, even though it was late - 9pm or so. Played a game of Smash-Up. Nice, clean neighborhood, good amount of room in the church's building. Clean place.

Any other newcomers should be advised there are 2 churches on Bailey Rd - the one closer to Tim's Pizza is the right one!

The people I met were non-teenagers, and I felt comfortable. No obsessive players, unwashed hermits, or clique types. No rude, socially rebellious college types either. Happy about this!

Variety of non-computer games, so there's definitely a chance to socialize - versus stare at some device for a few hours. Hopefully more people will give this group a chance! I'll be back.

Our plans haven't changed much; however with Tim's needing the space we were to use on the 26th at 6pm, I've decided we will meet at 1pm as scheduled at Tim's, then move to Grace Summit Community Church at 4pm to continue our games day! The church can hold quite a few more people, and I'll work out getting more pizza for our event from Tim's once we move to the church at 4pm. Also, if you weren't planning on arriving before 4pm anyways, you'll just meet us up at Grace Summit! No worries!!!

Guys, there is no way we're all going to fit in that party room. I'm working out having us meet at a local church for this event, with food still coming from Tim's, because it's close by. We might have people who want to drink while gaming stay at Tim's while the rest of us gather at Grace Summit Community Church just a block down the road.

Taylor, check out this link for how to go about becoming a paid member. Once I get the updates; any who attend and have paid their membership will get their membership raffle tickets! http://northcoastgame...

I am definitely coming to this =) It'll be my first time to a meetup like this, but I love playing games. And this is on my 22nd birthday! :P

Sounds like fun; it's unfortunate that it conflicts with the Saturday BOGA session, though (sorry, didn't see the mulling over the date until this was already scheduled, or I'd have chimed in earlier). We don't have a lot of dual members, but we do have a few, and I think I'm likelier to end up at BOGA (though the prospect of having a beer or two with my gaming could easily sway me the other direction ... Underhill's is just a store, of course, and the spillover into the Donato's across the street still only gets you pizza, not pizza & drinks).

Hey John. BOGA is great and all, but without trying to make something for THIS group, which may mean scheduling events that overlap, or come too close in some people's opinions to some event or another, we're never going to get anything going. This event is a social event with gaming, where you can expect pizza and get drinks and have a good time meeting people. That's it, I'm not expecting it to be anything like a competition, or a distraction. If you're going to a BOGA event instead of this one time event, no worries. If you decide otherwise, we'd love to see you for it!

Packages are in the mail from AEG and Rio Grande to support this meetup! We have solid commitments from four sponsors and about a dozen individuals who have posted that they will be attending! NCGers want this to be a positive, friendly environment for new and old gamers alike! Our membership drive will be part of our gathering (trying to get paid memberships up) and we will be having a raffle! No cost for coming to this event though!

Thanks Paul! We definitely want members involved and contributing to the experience! Super Dungeon Explore and Zombicide are both great! Keep looking for more info, sponsors and look forward to more people getting into the fun!

I'm good with chipping in for Pizzas. Coop-style games are my favorite to run, so I'll probably run a Super Dungeon Explore or Zombicide or both. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Ill be taking donations to cover the pizzas. Drinks are up to you to purchase there. If you pay in for a membership that gets you raffle tix.

We are a go on time, location and now looking for events! I will have raffle items and we are hoping to get members who haven't paid in for membership benefits to get that taken care of! I'm working on sponsors, game companies and local stores to provide support too! Should be fun!

I'm certainly up for this if I'm in town, and I can run a board or miniatures game if desired.

10 am to 7 pm is good. April 12, 19, or 26 should be good. Board games? Miniatures?
