Our Inaugural #brewby! Come enjoy local beers and ruby talk.

Come join us for beer, food, and ruby as we start our monthly drinkups at 10 Barrel in Boise. Our first topic will be Jekyll and Github Pages (which we used to create the extremely minimal site at localmotion.github.io). Get to know the local community and help us shape localmotion's future.

If you're not 21, no worries! enjoy the discussion topics and company of Boise rubyists anyway.

I wanted to throw in a short follow up to the conversation we were having about MongoDB. One of the other main reasons we went with it was the build in 2d and spherical indexing. Basically it makes it super easy to do anything with GPS and waypoints using Mongo. Thanks everyone for coming.

Agreed. Great meeting you guys tonight. It's encouraging to know Rubyists are becoming less of an endangered species in Boise.

Btw, I'm studying up on Ember right now :D.

I'll aim to make the next one instead of this one. If 10 Barrel still has the S.A.M., try it.

As an FYI to those attending this evening, as with all Federal Holidays, street parking will be free downtown.

The biggest reason for 10b was proximity to beer without that extra logistical concern. Moving locales is something totally up for discussion. 10b required no deposit and has a nice (albeit small) back room, but if we outgrow the space size wise or we have a different location that would better suit us that's great. Hardest part is getting off the ground and starting the conversation :).
