Lunch and Learn: Automated Unit Testing

Wondering about automated unit testing based on Test Driven Development, but not convinced it’s worth the effort?  Join .NET Developer Syl Walker for an Automated Unit Testing 101 discussion, using TDD coding techniques. We’ll look at writing unit tests, after writing the code, to confirm that the code meets requirements and that can be easily rerun when you’re refactoring or extending code to make sure you don’t break previous code.

will this be .NET specific? Which TDD frameworks will be covered?

I accidentally started a new conversation instead of replying to your question. Thanks for the questions Scott! This talk is .net specific. Would love to do a separate talk on front end unit testing with JavaScript, but that will not be covered in this talk. I'm assuming this talk is focused on the Microsoft Unit Test framework only (not nunit - but would need to check with Syl to be sure) It may also touch on a 3rd party mock framework but only lightly if any. This is going to be an introduction talk on unit testing and is geared mostly towards people who are not yet doing automated unit testing.
