The Greater London Authority (GLA) are partners in the EU iCity programme, iCity will extend London Datastore (LDS) opening up an 'Internet of Things' API infrastructure across the capital to help build a smarter London. As part of Big Data Week, we are organising a Global Big Data Challenge that will take place on the weekend of 27th – 28th April 2013. You’ll be encouraged to sign up in teams of up to five people to compete against each other to uncover the world’s healthiest city (more details coming soon…). The key to the challenge is to find datasets which will help you to decide the health of each city and to use this analysis to determine a ranking of the world’s healthiest cities.
