Create mobile apps to balance existing RESTful services for a richer experience

Hey peeps! Hope you all enjoyed our last Android LiveCode meetup and that you all are ready for our July meetup.

We'll have the pleasure of having Carl Jokl from Dods coming down and speaking on how to improve user experience with back-end services.

"A look into how Dods Parliamentary Services are developing new mobile applications that are able to leverage their existing back end infrastructure and RESTful services to deliver a richer user experience that presently possible with the existing Web + Email interface."

Alright guys so this is our summer meetup so let's make it hot, let all your friends know, colleagues, co-workers, even your family if they're into Android development.

As always a BIG thank you to Blackberry for their awesome support, pizza & beer as well :)

To Innovation Warehouse for letting us crash their real cool place and to Carl for his awesome presentation.

Alright guys besides that, be sure to hit the RSVP, follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get updated and see you guys soon.

Besides that if anyone has any questions, you can always reach me via twitter @FernandoTechy and see you guys soon!

cheers, Fernando

I spend my money on smart phones, smart watches, Google Glass headsets and super fast BT Business Infinity unlimited fibre broadband....and the rest...I just blow it.

I am feeling so efficient that even Germans might vaguely approve of me.

I spoke to Kevin who went to the Glass presentation at Skills Matter and he said to be honest I really didn't miss anything. It was rather cheesy evangelism and very little meaty technical content. I might have had the chance to win a free Chrome Cast. I don't think a man can have too many Chrome Casts or Google Glass Headsets for that matter.

Let me see if I can export my Keynote presentation to something people can open like PDF and stick it on Google Drive.

I should be recording this so I can put the recording on my YouTube channel for anyone who cannot make it.

Just a few weeks to put this together, no pressure. My Google Glass headset is still in San Francisco according the the package tracking service but should have arrived in time for this. I wonder if I can get Kevin O'Dwyer, the Dods People tech lead to co-present on this.

Kind of stands to reason that I am going.
