Portobello Winter Market

We have been given a stall at the Portobello Winter Market free of charge.

This is potentially a fantastic location and date for raising both funds and awareness with many tourists and Christmas shoppers visiting.

If anyone is able to help please let me know.  We will be setting up from 8am and it would be good to have 3 of us on the stall all day, possibly with people just coming for a couple of hours to be replaced by someone else.

We now have a pitch number: B102 which is just before the flyover.  It's not far from the Street Trading office so this address will help you find us: 72 Tavistock Road, W11 1AN

Not as busy as expected but we didn't have to pay for the stall so definitely worth doing. The weather didn't help as it looked like it was about to rain all day. The staff from the Street Trading office couldn't have been more helpful though, even tweeted to let people know we were there.

Very quiet when I was there on the stall (my not so high score is NOT a reflection on Animals Asia, far from it in fact, but more a reflection on the slowness of the public to take interest and buy!). Hopefully it got busier later in the day..

Hi Lesley. Yes, it did get a bit busier but not as busy as I'd hoped. I don't think the weather helped as it always looked like it was about to rain, which would have kept people away. We didn't have to pay for the stall though so at least everything we took yesterday is for the animals. Thank you so much for your help!!

Hi Katriona - our pitch number for Sunday is B102, which is just before the flyover. It's not very far from the Street Trading office, so you could use that for navigation: 72 Tavistock Road, W11 1AN

Hi Lesley. That would be brilliant. No problem having to be away by 12 or 1 as I'm sure there will be someone who can do the afternoon. I'm sure this is a busy time for you so double the thanks! If we don't have details of our exact spot until the morning of the market we'll meet at the Street Trading Office and I'll make sure I send details out before the 9th

Hi Lesley - I'm going to call the Street Trading office this afternoon as I haven't had a reply to my email yet, so will let you know if we get a pitch allocated before the day. In case we don't, this is the address for the street trading office: Street Trading Office
Address:72 Tavistock Road, W11 1AN It's near the flyover and nearer to Ladbroke Grove tube if you're coming by tube, but easier to find from Notting Hill I think. If you're coming from Notting Hill it's basically just up Portobello Road until just before the flyover. There's a little pedestrian zone and the office has a glass front. I'll confirm later though if we have a pitch number. Otherwise we'll meet at the office just after 8. Do you have my mobile number in case you need it?

Hi again - I've got a pitch number: it's B102 which is just before the flyover. The office actually won't be open but our pitch isn't far from it, so you can use the address to find us. From there it'll just be a very short walk

I could get there early on maybe in time to help set up too but would like to be away by 12 or 1 at the latest otherwise it's a very demanding weekend for me that weekend, thanks!
