Spirited Bodies Life Drawing

Another chance to try the fabulous Spirited Bodies life drawing sessions for just £5 per head (pay on day)

Bring drawing materials and sketchbooks/paper/boards whatever is your comfortable medium.

Telegraph Hill is in South East London, not far from New Cross Gate and Brockley stations. The venue is Cafe Fed as last year, above Hill Station Cafe, top of Kitto Road, next to Telegraph Hill Centre, SE14 5TY.

We are nominally charging £5, if you want to offer more you are of course welcome (we are currently raising money to put on more events - see our Sponsume page;

The plan is to do 2 half hour poses, then have a break followed by a one hour pose. I am aiming for 10 models (this is a mixed event) and one of the earlier poses is likely to be The Young Spartans (based on the Degas painting). Other poses to be decided; we find we create a lot of drama through making up our own scenes as well as recreating masterpieces.

Looking forwards to see some of you. After next week, Lucy and I are going to take stock following this busy phase as we need to put proper time into fundraising.

Warm wishes,

Esther (& Lucy)

    Hi Andrew - if you attend as an artist you will not be expected to model. This group does train life models and in some sessions (not this one) encourages the models to draw so that they will get a feel of the artists viewpoint. Not the other way round! Rest assured I have attended these groups and enjoyed drawing but no way would I be taking my clothes off :)

    Spirited Bodies is a great group and a great idea, but just to be clear about it... If attending via this group is it just as an artist or will we be expected to model as well?

    It sounds quite challenging, and very interesting. See you there.
