Life drawing & Story drawing Playtime

Experience the art of impulsive storytelling. Come and create some experimental & collaborative costumed figure drawing, through group drawing activities and spontaneous ideas.

We will provide some materials such as paper and pens.... but not heaps... & this will be coming out of our own budget....

SO, if you do have any of your own paper, pens, paints, pencils, or anything colourful to bring and share (or even interesting artefacts/ objects you may have lying around which could spark our imaginations for an idea or story) Please do bring them along!

If not worries, just yourselves and a smile will be great.

You don't need to be an artist to take part... we say art is about having fun & the experience of learning & meeting others, not the final precious product.

We look forward to seeing you there :)
The Dibujo London team <3
P.S. If you would like to arrive an hour early at 12 to have a picnic with us...(if its sunny, fingers crossed) We will be there eager to start ;)

Perhaps Troubadour at Old Brompton Rd ? We could use
    Brompton Cemetary if the weather
    Is nice.

Hi Basia, thanks for the suggestion, I have called them and I think for this particular, more spontaneous & experimental event and also for the fact we have no budget means that this venue can't be used for this event.. But we will def consider it for the future.. An update on venue will be posted asap :)
      Cheers, karina

    Hi all. Where?

I appreciate what you do, but they are simply not 'life drawing' events. To call them that is like running a textile classes and calling it 'portrait painting'. The definition of life drawing is live nudes and you can't change history - google it. Drawing from clothed models is 'costume life' and drawing from objects is 'still life'. It's misleading to anyone who is looking for a life drawing class. I'm sure it's fun, but the title makes no sense.

Don't worry me and the model can always strip if people feel let down or mislead or even worse disappointed! Not many people use the term, costume life, and when I have looked up the term life drawing it said: A "life drawing" is a drawing of the human figure from observation of a live model. I will change it for becky, how about: Figure Drawing, is that OK with you?
