So sorry I missed this. My son flew in from NZ that week and I ended up not being able to attend!

Oh and great that you're a member of AtheismUK. Full membership is £24 btw if anyone else wants to join (not £30 as I said previously). The NSS, BHA all add their own aspects and are invaluable, and we wouldn't be where we are now without them. But they have been going for over 100 years and have lots of support, whereas AtheismUK is new and needs support to help get it off the ground. IMV they add something to the religious discussion that none of the other secular organisations do, or do enough - and that is challenging the root cause of the problem - the issue of faith itself.

Excellent event by AtheismUK. Good to see an undiluted atheistic message and remit - challenging religious faith. Yep, that's the root cause of the BS. Very enjoyable chatting with everyone afterwards.

I'm afraid I may not be able to make this, sister in-laws Birthday party, I'll be surrounded by Roman Catholics all day, oh the irony.

Hope to make it to a meeting soon.

Try to organise an exorcism. They love that sort of thing ;-)

Anyone is welcome to come for 2.30pm if you are a registered on our web site as a supporter - you just won't be able to vote. The business of the AGM will be fairly short, but is the stuff we need to do for election of committee members, etc.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.

    Hi all,

I'd be very interested in attending the 3.30 onward meeting. I've not been to one of these before, is it just a case of turning up or is there anything else I'll need to do?

Hi Anthony, and welcome to the group. This is actually the first time AtheismUK have invited people along, but yes, it's just a case of turning up as a 'supporter' i.e. for those of us who are not full voting members. Nothing special required to do as such. Look forward to meeting you there!

Probably I can make this ( I am not a member , can I still join? Is there any charge?)

You would count as a 'supporter', Priscilla and are welcome from 15:30. Subscription to full membership is I think £30 and gives you voting rights etc.

If I can make it - I have a big concert that evening, so don't worry if I'm all in black...
