This event sold out last year, so we'd advise any LAAGers who want to go, to get in early.
ABOUT THIS EVENT (text from event organisers i.e. this is NOT an in-house event and is listed as per the information of this event's site):
This year, because we are thrilled to have secured Professor Richard Dawkins for a second year, we decided that we should capitalise upon this achievement by hosting our speaker event at a larger venue in Bristol on Sat 24th August, the day before the Trail. To this end we have secured the beautiful Wills Memorial Building ~ the University of Bristol main Hall with 500 seats where Sir David Attenborough spoke to celebrate Darwin150. The Trail is celebrating Wallace100 and by opening our doors to a Bristol audience we hope to raise a considerable sum towards Wallace’s statue to be placed in the Natural History Museum in November.
Schedule and travel arrangements:
FRIDAY 23rd August: For those who wish to travel down to Somerset before the event, I have pre booked several local B&B establishments. Please get in contact for more details.
