COMPULSORY Q: Pls describe your position on religion/faith e.g. atheist, naturalist, 'agnostic', religious doubter, religious, OR feel free to give a description that suits you. (This is not to label you, it helps to know the make-up of the group)

COMPULSORY Q: Why do you want to join? (if faith/religion bothers you, what aspects in particular? (Helps us tailor activities to your concerns (within our remit of "peacefully promote reason/atheism")). Pls write as much or as little as you like.

When it's adherants try and use scripture to trump science/history/any other field of study. Aside from that if they're preaching the fluffy version of their religion and trying to do nice things I'm happy to leave them be.

Where did you hear about us?

(You're welcome to be a social or even a silent member, & there's absolutely no pressure) - but would you like to be involved in actively challenging faith yourself in any way? Petitions, leafleting etc, or something else?

Probably not directly but since I manage the SkepticTV blog and we're keen on doing things to help I am open to people contacting me about blog space for important issues.

If so, what kind of issues are most emotive for you? What kind of activism do you prefer - humourous/cheeky or more direct? Any other ideas you'd like to share at the moment?

My personal style is a mix between cheeky banter and a sledgehammer of science version of debunking. I appreciate a range of styles and am very muc for the pro-science style of issue. I also don't think very highly of those that resort to violence to get their point across, it highlights their lack of respect for other people and limitations in their ability to think about a creative way of getting teir point across.

Introduction

I'm one of the founders of SkepticTV having taken part in the moderately infamous 12 hour skype call with a well known YouTube creationist. I know manage the blog and twitter feed for SkepticTV as well as doing various other bits and bobs.
