Committed sex abuse? Just go for some "spiritual renewal"!

Gotta love the self-serving verbiage these religious fuckwits come up with.

Cardinal Keith O'Brien is to leave Scotland for several months after admitting improper sexual conduct, the Vatican has confirmed.

He resigned in March after three priests and a former priest alleged improper conduct back in the 1980s.

The Vatican said that with the Pope's approval Cardinal O'Brien would leave Scotland "for the purpose of spiritual renewal, prayer and penance".

The Vatican will agree any decision regarding his future arrangements.

Justice is not justice if it's not seen to be done.

If that was a probationary officer would they have been allowed to leave 'for the purpose of spiritual renewal?'

Why isn't the he up in court on charges?
Why was nothing done for thirty odd years?
Who's responsible for letting it slide so long?
Are the victims going to be compensated?

And The Ists wonder why some of us are 'angry atheists'?!?

Ah but you see, everything happens for a reason. It's all part of god's plan and we should not question it. So, when a child is tortured or raped by a priest or muslim grooming gang, or when an entire village is destroyed by rockets from an enemy sect of the same religion, it's all for a higher purpose we're too inferior to understand, etc etc and other variations on such utter vomit inducing shit spouted by religiotards.

i'll try again. They, (the clergy) are only following Jesus's example, "suffer little children to come unto me". Count how many times in the gospels he lays his hands on kids, and let's not forget the young man naked except for a light cloth, that was with him when arrested. He was charged with "perverting his people".

Indeed - this stuff formed the inspiration for the third book in the trilogy - the 'Even Newer Testament' or 'Koran' as it's known.
