This series of reference posts are intended to be the best one line and memorable answers to FAQ's (Frequently Asinine Questions biggrin- phrase coined by Richard Francis!) and FAS (frequently Asinine Statements)

1.
Q: Isn't Atheism a religion?

A : Is bald is a hair colour?
... and is health a disease?

2.
Q: People should be allowed to believe what they like. Why are you questioning my beliefs?
A : So you don't want me to challenge your beliefs? Is that because they can't be defended?

3.
Q: Isn't atheism just a lack of something?
A : Yes. Just as health is a lack of illness.

4.
S: Atheism is so negative, it's a lack of something.
A: Is trying to be without delusion negative?
or
A: Is abolitionism a negative...being without slavery? Religion is slavery, that's a negative.

5.
S: So many good things come from years of christianity in the west
A: Space exploration was made possible by rocket research done by Nazis scientists. (actually the ones the Yanks and Russians raced to capture in 1945).
or
A: In fact many inventions we take for granted today came from inventions made during war time in order to kill people.

6.
S: The moral code we live by is from the ten commandments
A: Not really. Only 3 of the 10 are illegal and then not necessarily in all cases.

5b. Q: So many good things come from years of christianity in the west
A: What? The inquisition and the crusades? Generally people say charity, but it does not require religion to be done.

7: Q: Why is there something rather than nothing?
A: Why would there be a nothingness rather than something? There is no reason for the world to be empty, so there is no need for a reason for it to be full.

8: Q: What was first, the egg or the chicken?
A: Evolution is a gradual process of groups of individuals. So if you go back in time, at some point you will get a group of animals that are not chicken and that lay eggs that are different from chicken eggs. So it was neither the egg nor the chicken first, but another species slightly that was different.

My very quick go at this is below:

1.Isn't Atheism a religion?

Does atheism ...

a. Have churches?
b. Have pastors and priests?
c. Prescribe commandments where people should take their morality from?
d. Rage war against homosexuals?
e. Ask people for money?
f. Threaten people with afterlife horror stories?
g. Take its gold in a book?
h. Enjoy religious privileges in governments and public life?

You know the saying 'if it's smells like a fish, looks like a fish then it probably is a fish'. The reverse sentence is equally true.

2.People should be allowed to believe what they like

Yes, provided they don't use their belief :

a.To infringe others' rights to believe in something else
b.To abuse others
c.To disturb the public peace

2'.Why are you questioning my beliefs?

Why are you so fearful of your believes being discussed? If they are so coherent, logical, human, fair, psychologically healthy, honourable, then you should have nothing to worry about.

3.Isn't atheism just a lack of something?

Yes. The typical atheist lacks the ability to tolerate the following lacks in the deeply religious:

1.Lack of logic
2.Lack of humanity
3.Lack of reason
4.Lack of acceptance of others' differences
5.Lack of conscience
6.Lack of respect of others' right to believe in what they want
7.Lack of grounding in the real world in favour of the world of fantasy and delusion
8.Lack of honesty
9.Lack of humility
