Next time you see someone wearing Jesus on a crucifix...

Next time you see someone wearing Jesus on a crucifix you might like to ask them if they enjoy showing everyone an image of someone slowly suffocating in a long and agonising death.

Whatever their response you might offer to show them other pictures of people dying long and agonising deaths from cancer - they might enjoy those too, as these are dying by God's will.

(It's bloody insane!)

Yes. It can be interpreted as pornographic by some as well; especially if one sees movie scenes of violent enactment of it. Sadism.

A production of 'The Passions' in Trafalgar Square has the most bloody, violent version of the crucifix that you will ever see. They also turn the volume up on the speakers when the hammer slams in the nails and Jesus screams out. Children are clearly disturbed and if this was being done in any other context then it would be banned but, as usual, religion gets away with it. It would be great to film their reaction and put in a formal complaint to the council. I know they won't do anything but I think it is worth making the point. It's great to protest at the event as well as they get really angry when you tell them the real history of Easter (or Eostre the Pagan goddess!!)

Ants nest anybody?

To quote Bill Hicks: "You think when Jesus comes back he’s gonna want to see a cross? That's like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on, you know. “Thinkin’ of John, Jackie. We love him. Just tryin’ to keep that memory alive, baby.”

Just ask them "if the electric chair was the preferred execution device at the supposed time of Jesus would you now be wearing an electric chair around your neck?"
