The author will be attending so it should be an interesting opportunity to learn more about western intervention. This is a huge topic for our time, worth learning more about.

David Chandler, Professor of International Relations, Centre for the Study of Democracy, University of Westminster will be coming along to this event to discuss his book 'Empire in Denial: The Politics of Statebuilding'.

I initially came across David Chandler when he was giving a talk at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, where he was part of a panel debating over humanitarian intervention. I thought his perspective was so interesting that I asked him to discuss his latest book with us.

Should be a fascinating evening.

What I meant is that I might start reading it, surely I will not be able to finish it on time as I'm reading another book.

Surely, I will be there as a good listener. Thanks for arranging this.
