Synopsis

The most deadly flu pandemic of all time arrives in South Korea in this terrifyingly plausible thriller! People trafficker Byeong-woo (Sang-yeob Lee) contracts a mysterious illness after smuggling illegal immigrants into Bundang, near Seoul. Rushed to hospital covered in red rashes and coughing up blood, he quickly dies. But not before the airborne bird flu virus has taken hold. In less than 24 hours, this unstoppable disease is sweeping through the city. The virus has an infection rate of 3.4 people per second, there is no known cure, and death occurs within 36 hours. As Bundang is plunged into chaos, the government moves to impose a quarantine. The only hope is for infectious disease specialist Kim In-hye (Soo Ae) and rescue worker Kang Ji-goo (Hyuk Jang) to enter the closed city and develop a vaccine. A compelling tale of personal heroism against the backdrop of unimaginable suffering, this South Korean disaster movie is scarily realistic.

Tickets ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you have a Cineworld Unlimited card you need to show this at the box office to collect a free ticket. Otherwise please just buy your own ticket in the normal way (if you book online in advance you will get a 10% discount).

London Cinema Meetup hosts a lot of events at Cineworld cinemas (usually for seeing the latest releases, most commonly in the West End). If you like watching films regularly (more than once a month) it might be cheaper to buy a Cineworld Unlimited card for £18.90 a month - this allows you to watch as many films as you like at Cineworld cinemas (including the ones we normally use in the West End, in Shaftesbury Avenue or in Haymarket). It also gives you a 10% discount off food and drink bought in the cinemas, and some local discount offers too. There is a cheaper version of the card for £15.90, but this is not valid for the Cineworld cinemas in the West End. Currently there is an offer of getting 'one free month' if you sign up using the promotion code below:

RAF-47FC-23RM-48YF-03WP

This code has to be entered in the payments section under "promotions".
Please check terms and conditions. To obtain a card you can use this website (you will need a digital photo of your face, which will appear on the card to identify you):

Looking forward to seeing you at a meetup soon!
