Ralph Fiennes leads an amazing cast in Wes Anderson's quirky comedy about a purloined painting. Between the wars, Gustave H (Ralph Fiennes) is the suave and popular concierge at the Grand Budapest Hotel. Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori) is the young and impressionable lobby boy who becomes his loyal and trusted friend. After elderly guest Madame D. (Tilda Swinton) dies in mysterious circumstances following a tryst with Gustave, it is revealed that she has left him a priceless Renaissance painting in her will. With the aid of Zero and his girlfriend Agatha (Saoirse Ronan), Gustave swiftly spirits the artwork away. But Inspector Henckels (Edward Norton) soon comes after him. Wes Anderson's first period film is as elaborately designed and elegantly plotted as we've come to expect. After 'In Bruges', Ralph Fiennes gets another opportunity to demonstrate his formidable comedy talents. He's joined by a fabulous cast of Anderson regulars, including the great Bill Murray.
If you have a Cineworld Unlimited card you need to show this at the box office to collect a free ticket. Otherwise please just buy your own ticket in the normal way (if you book online in advance you can get a 10% discount).
London Cinema Meetup hosts a lot of events at Cineworld cinemas (usually for seeing the latest releases, most commonly in the West End). If you like watching films regularly (more than once a month) it might be cheaper to buy a Cineworld Unlimited card for £18.90 a month - this allows you to watch as many films as you like at Cineworld cinemas (including the ones we normally use in the West End, in Shaftesbury Avenue or in Haymarket). It also gives you a 10% discount off food and drink bought in the cinemas, and some local discount offers too. There is a cheaper version of the card for £15.90, but this is not valid for the Cineworld cinemas in the West End. Currently there is an offer of getting 'one free month' if you sign up using the promotion code below:
This code has to be entered in the payments section under "promotions". Please check terms and conditions. To obtain a card you can use this website (you will need a digital photo of your face, which will appear on the card to identify you):
Looking forward to seeing you there :)
