What kind of movies do you like?

All sorts but mainly indie or arthouse, character based rather than relying on special effects. I'm a member of the Curzon cinema chain in London so watch a lot of foreign language movies.

Which is your favourite film(s)?

From back in the sixties, I really like 'Fail Safe', which is a Cold War thriller about an incident between the USA and Russia that really racks up the tension. From relatively recent times it's 'Of Gods And Men', based on real life events, about a group of monks coming to terms with their faith and what it means to them even though they know thier lives could be in danger - incredibly moving.

What do you hope to get out of this Group?

To enjoy seeing films with like minded people and talk about them afterwards, maybe even go to see something I might not normally consider watching.

Hi, I'm Nick, and work brings me into town twice a week so I often take in a movie afterwards, mainly indie / arthouse but also the occasional blockbuster or classic .
