Thank you for participating in the London Cinema Meetup group.

Some events you may want to join over the next few days:

Saturday evening
: Mark is organising an event to see the classic 1945 British film Brief Encounter at the new cinema at Rada (the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) in London [nearest Tube: Goodge Street]. Meet at 6:15-6:45pm for a film starting at 7pm. The cost is £8. The film was voted the 2nd best British film of the 20th century in a BFI (British Film Institute) survey.

Sunday afternoon: Mark has 1 place remaining (possibly 2) to see the West End musical Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward Theatre (nearest Tube: Leicester Square). Tickets are discounted ones in the dress circle. Meet at 2-2:30pm in a nearby cafe for a show starting at 3pm. The cost is £40 per person. Please send Mark an e-mail or text message (to [masked]) if you are interested. This event is being organised jointly with the London International Meetup.

Tuesday evening: Rakhee is going to The Artist at Cineworld Haymarket. Free for people with a relevant Cineworld pass, or £12 for others. The film is set in 1927 in Hollywood, where talkies are about to take over from the silent movies. This film took the 2011 Cannes Film Festival by storm and is expected to win awards.

As usual, please contact the organisers if you would like to organise visits to films. Recently we have been broadening the range of film types and cinemas used, although we will continue to include latest releases at Cineworld Haymarket and Cineworld Shatesbury Avenue for those people who have Cineworld passes.
