What is the best technical book you've read recently?

The Well-Grounded Java Developer. I worked for one of the authors a year or so ago

What is the language or tool that you're most excited about using at the moment?

I'm learning Scala on coursera - liking it so far..! Closures in Java make me excited as well.

Had a few years of Java, now doing C++. Looking to practice some polyglot programming on the JVM by working with, and learning from talented people.
