I'm both an information architect and an information builder. I advise clients on how to plan and prepare their information strategies and my company, Librios, provides toolkits to put the advice into practice. I've most experience with information management in publishing and healthcare but the scope is spreading to media agencies, academic research, business management and - slowly - to education too. Taxonomies, ontologies and classification systems are all part of the story. Complex, contextual search is too. And I'm a digital publisher for fun. I'm very keen to hear about the experiences of others in this accelerating field.
I'm passionate about making information work - practical informatics is the business of my company Librios. We advise publishers, media agencies, healthcare providers, businesses, academics and charities, and we put into practice what we preach.
So far, so good! It's hard to say more beyond the strongly positive things I've written above about the meeting because this is the group's first meeting.
