Would you like to lead a discussion at a #londoncd event in H1 2013?

Dear #londoncd member,

(The tl;dr version: what would you like to discuss in 2013 in #londoncd meetups?)

Dave Nolan and I are busy putting together a schedule of meetups for 2013, and this is what we have so far:

  • January 17th: Infrastructure Automation: Opscode / Chef (Andy Hawkins)
  • February 21st: CD with legacy applications: Steve Smith (@agilestevesmith) from Sky Network Services
  • March 19th: Team Transformation to enable Continuous Delivery: Chris O'Dell (@ChrisAnnODell), 7digital
  • April 16th: Continuous Delivery with ETL systems: Dave Nolan (@davenolan, Lonely Planet) and Pete Sinden (Dr Foster Intelligence)
  • May: Continuous Delivery in Digital Agencies: (TBC)
  • June: (CD Maturity Model or CD in the Cloud PLUS Release Management SHOOTOUT (TBC)): James Betteley (@jamesbetteley)
  • July: Test Automation in the CD Pipeline: (TBC)

The other "yes in principle" presenters we have (those whom we have asked, and who have said 'yes') are:

  • Christopher Marsh: AKQA - CD at a digital agency
  • Alan Parkinson
  • Matthew Skelton (@matthewpskelton): - CD and legacy systems
  • Lee Cook (@leethomascook): Aqueduct - CD at a digital agency (possibly with Chris Marsh (@c_j_marsh) from AKQA)
  • Mat Johns (@matjohns): CD at BSkyB

The "possibles" (that is, people whose discussions would be really interesting, but whom I have not asked yet!) are:

  • Anthony Green: BBC
  • Banos: ?

If anyone in the group would like lead a discussion on a topic related to Continuous Delivery, or knows of an interesting external speaker, etc., then please get in touch so we can fill out a really interesting and worthwhile schedule for 2013.

Since we need only three more topics, I think we can soon have Jan-May confirmed, which is probably as far in the future as we want to plan at this point.

Wishing you a merry xmas and a happy new year, and looking forward to seeing you on 17th January 2013,

Matthew Skelton & Dave Nolan
