At long last!

I have not seen them before, but they sound great here: http://www.reverbnation.com/theblindhearts&...;

No idea about tickets just yet but here's a link: http://www.myspace.com/events/View/12323507/The-Blind-Hearts/The-Blind-Hearts--The-Monarch

    It does sound good - but there is something hinky about that booking. It's not appearing on ticketweb website. I'll send an email to the Barfly to see what's up.

    You can easily buy tickets at the door, BTW.

    Well, I've had no answer from the venue. The Blind Hearts list it on their website, but the Barfly lists - as you say - The Yoyos and "special guests" (which elsewhere are listed as "Plan A"). The ticket sites do not edify. Hmmm.

    I have just emailed the band. Hopefully they know where they will be!

    Cheers Rob. It's a bit of a mystery. BH are playing other dates in the following month so if all else fails, we can catch them elsewhere.

    OK. The band replied:

    Yes, we had a flurry of calls about this & due to circumstances beyond our control it's literally just been confirmed this gig is moving to Water Rats in Kings Cross. It will still be on Friday 17th February.

    Fear not if you don't see the gig appearing in listings for a while, the show move has only just been confirmed, but it's definitely now going ahead at Water Rats. We're updating our sites as I type. Sorry for the inconvenience - this show had been confirmed and the promoter altered it without consulting us.

    The Water Rats has rather mixed reviews: http://fancyapint.com/Pub/london/water-rats/551
    Have you been there? I'm not a big Kings Cross area @ night fan, but it may be improving. I am not a frequent visitor.
    The Garage on Monday Feb 27 may be a better choice (but it is a Monday!) I saw The Sadies there last winter and it was OK.

    Water Rats is actually south of Kings Cross so the area isn't too bad. But those are not glowing reviews. The most worrying aspect of the reviews is how sets are cut short. Lets see what alternative dates we can work up.

    So... Paul & Calfyn: The title & venue of this meetup are now plain wrong. Can it be edited or does it need to be cancelled & renewed with correct data? My preference is to wait for the Monarch show on March 29, but would come to the Garage on Feb 27 if you two prefer that show.

    Apologies - I've been out of the loop for a week. I vote for 29th, 27th may prove to be a problem for me. Got an url for that gig?
