4e D&D Beginners:  http://www.meetup.com/London-DnD/messages/boards/thread/29636522 - Please RSVP

Far south of wintry Nentir Vale, the rat-ridden city of Punjar straddles the mouth of the White River where she flows into the Midnight Sea. Deep within the heart of Old Punjar's slums, the Beggar-King weaves his plots. Consorting with diabolical agents of the Iron Circle, he has launched a war to take control of Punjar's underworld. From the tile rooftops to the filthy alley sewers, even the bravest of sellswords tremble before the Beggar-King's fell secrets. Now you must bring his reign to an end!

The game on 15th Jan is now full. After Tuesday I will give players a few days to get their RSVPs in for the next game (29th Jan) then open up any remaining spots.

Hi, I'm a complete beginner and have basically no idea what the DnD world consists of.

However, I love sci fi and fantasy (used to speak Elvish, want to learn Klingon) and would love to learn. My curiosity was piqued - like many I'm guessing - by the DnD episode of 'Community'. It looks really interesting and I'd love to join.

Is there anything I need to know before I sign up for one of the Beginner Tuesday sessions or can I just show up? Can I bring a friend who is also a total newbie?

Thanks, I look forward to it!

Hi Simon. So Basically, no where sells the players hand books now as they have announced a new edition (agian). So I hope you dont mind me coming to the meet up without a clue on the rules.

    P.S - Could I reserve a premade Mage please?

    Thanks

Speaking of minis, Simon... What can you use to play DnD, I've been scouring the www for a Dwarf to best fit what I think my pc would look like. Are there any limitations to what can be used?

    January 6

    • Simon Newman

BTW I have plenty of dwarf figures, I can pack one that fits your specs if you like.

Ok, well I'm still looking around. I've found some painted ones for sale so I may have a dabble.

  • Martin Cobb

Cool, I'll pick one up and come with a few 1st level characters to play. Thanks for getting back to me. I'm looking forward to it.

    • Simon Newman

OK, see you on the 15th Martin - let me know if you need a character miniature for your PC. I will be providing pregen PCs with minis but you're welcome to make your own PC pre-game.

I haven't played dungeons and dragons for about ten 13 years! Do I need to buy a new players hand book? Thanks

    January 5

    • Simon Newman

Hi Martin - it would not hurt to get a 4e D&D Players' Handbook, but it's possible to play without one.
