This circular walk from Richmond to Ham House will lead us from urban bustle of Richmond town centre to rural riverside walk along the Thames. It is about 4.5 miles so it will be a short walk in European Club standards. Our pace will be moderate. There is a 20 minutes climb at the beginning, the rest is quite flat.
Iconic view from Richmond Hill down towards River Thames is the only view in England to be protected by An act of Parliment. That's why celebrities such as Mick Jagger choose to live here.
Our path will go through Richmond Park and Pembroke Gardens. Here we will check out King Henry's mound, one of the highest places in London and it is actually possible to see St Paul Cathedral in the distance from here. After taking an hour of coffee/tea/breakfast break here, we will continue on to Ham House. We will walk along the perimeter of Ham House and from here we will turn into Thames Path. After checking out Richmond Terrace Gardens, a very pretty park, we will make our way to Richmond centre. Planning to arrive back at Richmond around noon time.
