Having lived in London for more than 5 years without ever having played Bingo, I thought it is about time to finally give it a try. And since it is much more fun together with a bunch of nice people, I need you. Many of you :-)

Let's enjoy an evening of Bingo at Mecca Bingo in Camden.

Bingo !!!

Here's how a typical Bingo night looks like...

• before 19:30 early session

• 19:30 - 20:00 first half of main session

• 20:00 - 20:30 break to get some drinks

• 20:30 - 21:00 second half of main session

• after 21:00 late session

During the early and late session 3 games are played, while in each half of the main session 6 games are played. Players tick off the numbers called by the caller on their scoring cards and hope to win by being the first to complete 1, 2 or 3 lines of 5 numbers. During each game there will be 3 winners (1 line, 2 lines, 3 lines complete). Prize money can be up to several hundred or even thousands pounds depending on the number of players participating.

We will join the 2 halfs of the main session (plus optionally the late session, if you can't get enough :-) ). The Bingo tickets for ALL games of the main session cost 15 pounds. There are no hidden costs !!! We can use the break at 20:00 to get some drinks and to talk about our respective winning strategies :-)

We will meet at 18:30 at the exit of Camden Underground station. If you can't make it in time, please come directly to the venue. Once at the venue you will have to become a member of Mecca Bingo (membership is free). I will explain the game to you in more detail at the venue.

It's a very traditional British pastime. I hope to see many of you at the bingo :-)

London European Club is run by dedicated volunteers, who don't have time to waste with people who don't show up at events. If you don't show up to three events that you have RSVPed to, you will be banned from the Club. Changing your RSVP in the last 24 hours prior to the event is strongly discouraged and may result in an immediate ban, especially when it comes to our most popular events.

well, all agreed that Bingo as a one time event is fun :-) It surely was an interesting experience. Miena even won 70 pounds. If you find a bunch of people, it is fun for as a night out, but as a regular event... I don't know... :-)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
