To spice this dark January up a little our next Cross-Cultural Chit-Chat will have different national/cultural approaches to food as a starter, a topic everybody can contribute to. After indulging in (too much?) food and drinks over the Christmas season in dull January many of us might even go on a diet.
You needn't be an expert on Hofstede or Trompenars or however those cross-cultural experts are called. Just share your observations and experiences about what you think your nation is doing different then others. Is it a different communication style, a different attitude towards the environment, towards food or whatever? What do you think distinguishes one European nation from the other? What prejudices do you face and which ones do you find confirmed, what do you like about other cultures? Are there perhaps also any special language issues you observe?
So come along on Wednesday, 8 January 2014 at 6.15pm to the famous and well known Penderel's Oak for a European Cross-Cultural Chit-Chat over a pint or two. I'm looking forward to seeing you there.
Please only RSVP if you are certain that you can join us. Accurate numbers help with the reservation and people on the wait list can avoid disappointment. Our "no show" policy applies to this as well as every other event in the Club.
