Come and join me for some Russian music at the Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank. I have 10 specially priced tickets for this concert at £5 each. They are pot-luck tickets, so I don't know where they will be until the evening - could be near or far from the stage! You pay me on the day! Please see important note at the end of description before signing up!
The Moscow City Symphony – Russian Philharmonic makes its Royal Festival Hall debut fresh from a successful world tour.
One of Russia's foremost ensembles, the orchestra is based in Moscow at the International House of Music where it performs over 80 concerts a year – working with such leading artists as Roberto Alagna, Jose Carreras and Maxim Vengerov.
Principal Conductor Dmitri Jurowski, who is also Principal Conductor at the Royal Flemish Opera House in Antwerp, is the youngest member of the legendary Russian musical dynasty.
He will conduct an all-Russian programme of works by Prokofiev and Rachmaninov, which includes a rare chance to hear the dazzling Russian virtuoso Alexander Ghindin.
Sergey Prokofiev: Excerpts from Cinderella
Sergey Prokofiev: Piano Concerto No.3
Sergey Rachmaninov: Symphony No.2
We will meet near the main entrance. I will mail my mobile nearer the time.
IMPORTANT NOTE: By RSVPing Yes to this event, you are guaranteeing that you will attend. Late changes will not be accepted, so please do not RSVP if you are not sure you can attend or if it is just a maybe. The £5 ticket cost will be payable to me whether you turn up or not!
