German movie: Oh Boy

A new German comedy (yes, it does exist).

This tragicomedy is a self-ironic portrait of a young man who drops out of university and ends up wandering the streets of the city he lives: Berlin. The film deals with the desire to participate in life and the difficulty to find one's place.

The movie starts at 6.50pm.  We meet up about 20 minutes before in the bar area.

Tickets here.

Hi Marion, thank you very much for organizing
I enjoy non big Hollywood movies such as this one because they are more connected to real life and for me it was a good way to learn a bit of German history, I was not aware of the night of crystal and after the movie I started to search about it.
The movie was very good, I have not been to Germany yet (hope to visit it soon) and now I want even more to visit it

Is Germany still finding its way? ... Oh Boy! We all are.
I enjoyed a lot, very funny the chat with the shrink and the looks of the conscience (a rather pretty blonde always looking over his shoulder).

Thanks Marion, for a lovely end to my teutonic week.

    Tschüss!

Interesting movie. Less comedy than I expected but still very enjoyable. I got really homesick seeing the shots of Berlin. Thank you all for making it. I know there was some hick up with the Victoria Line.

Liked it very much. How the Kristallnacht was portrayed through the old man feeling guilty about his indifference at the time ("i cried because i worried I couldnt ride my bike with all the glass") and the all underlying theme of overcoming the past (Vergangenheitsbewaeltigung) both as individual (fat girl complex), between generations (only eldest generation is a positive model, not the father, not the younger one) and also as a nation (movie of holocaust ends on a mobile phone ringing). Look forward to Herr Lehman, Marion, now you promised! Thanks for organising :-)

Battery on my phone was empty so couldn't see this message, but thanks for organising this, I liked the movie very much (although I'd rather classify it as drama with comic elements than a comedy) It was also very nice to see you all again (and to catch up with some)!

Hi, I've booked the ticket but find myself with a bit of flu. In case I can't make it, I'm happy to pass my ticket to any other member.
