Theatre play by visually impaired actors: The Chairs

  • Apr 29, 2014 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Extant’s unique casting of blind actors creates a new and exciting interpretation of this classic text. An elderly couple welcome a procession of invisible guests to their isolated home - an uncertain space where anarchy, ageing and anxiety collide. Who is the mysterious orator they all await? And what will their world-changing message be?

Experimental sound design will create a dynamic, shared experience for sighted and visually impaired audiences.

Tickets are 12 pounds and can be bought here

Tickets The Chair

If you want to go, please buy tickets EARLY. I don't know if the show will sell out, but recently many people couldn't join other events that I had organized since they simply tried to book their tickets too late.

The play itself starts at 19:30. If you want, we can meet 18:30 for a drink. Obviously there will be pubs close by to go to after the play.

    Hi Henning, my pleasure :)
And I am sorry to say that I agree with you, but it is always worth the attempt anyway.
Roberta I hope to see you soon and to enjoy together the best show ever!

Hi Serena, thanks for enduring it together :-) roberta: you didn't miss anything. The play was based on absurdism and while the first hour was actually quite enjoyable, the 2nd hour dragged on and on and on and the play never semed to end.

Hi Roberta, I meant to buy a ticket within the next few days. If you want I can make a payment through your bank account so I will just collect your ticket at the Albany boxoffice. Cam it be suitable?

Hi Henning, I need to cancel as I am currently abroad and need to extend my stay for work reasons. Should anybody need my ticket he/she can collect it for free at the ticket office; just let me know and I will send over the reservation code.
