Update: I will be in the Barbican Foodhall from 7.30.pm onwards.
I will be on one of the benches at the back of the Foodhall (left-hand side), probably sipping a tea and having some cake... It's a good place to have dinner if you haven't eaten.
A large group of dead people sit in darkness, conversing to pass the time, or rather, eternity… After thousands of years go by they rise up and go on the rampage, determined to seek out God and demand an answer.
Based on Nobel Prize-winning author Pär Lagerkvist’s novel, The Eternal Smile is a witty, wild and philosophical performance about the dead and their complex relationship with the living.
Verk, Norway’s leading experimental theatre ensemble, premieres The Eternal Smile in the UK having established a reputation nationally for epic and vaudevillian productions with a satirical and political edge.
The play is performed in English.
The play starts at 8pm, but we're meeting half an hour before in the Foodhall.
Tickets are £16 plus booking fee. My seat is A14. Tickets can be bought through this link.
This meetup runs in conjunction with The London Norwegian Meetup Group.
London European Club is run by dedicated volunteers, who don't have time to waste with people who don't show up at events. If you don't show up to three events that you have RSVPed to, you will be banned from the Club. Changing your RSVP in the last 24 hours prior to the event is strongly discouraged.
