Hometown: North London
November 16, 2012
Because, being a linguist and having lived on the Continent, I'm interested in European things, and currently your talk about the Iron Curtain particularly.
I have a house in North London and I love London because you can do most anything you want here. I was brought up in East Sheen, SW14.
I have worked in Brussels for the EC (sorry, that may not go down too well) and in Turkey, Austria & Switzerland for a short time, and in the desert and coast in Algeria. I speak fluent French and German, so I consider myself a European.
As ever, drawing our attention to the most interesting events that we would never have heard of otherwise.
